The only concert representative absent here is Joanna Newsom, and as no last-minute addition of her music to this list could do any degree of justice to the breathtaking experience of her performance, I chose to omit her from the program. This week we have mostly fresh, mostly new music for your listening enjoyment. We have a couple of tracks that feature slightly more indigenous African-sounding percussion/instrumentation, one song with a nearly unsingable chorus, one incredibly funny song, then some gorgeously well structured pop music.
